How to Add and Manage Pixels on Your Profile

3 min read ยท Updated

Pixels let you measure what happens on your hoo.be page in the tools you already use for ads and analytics. Add an ID once and it applies to your live page straight away.

There are four fields on one screen, and they are all optional. Fill in only the ones you use.

Add tracking pixels
Measured in Amazon, Meta, TikTok and Google Analytics
Amazon Affiliate Tag
yourtag-20
Facebook Pixel ID
15โ€“16 digit ID
TikTok Pixel ID
20-character code
Google Analytics ID
G-XXXXXXXXXX
All four fields live on one screen. Each one saves on its own.

How to add a pixel

  1. Log in and click Account in the sidebar

  2. Select Profile Settings, then Pixels

  3. Paste your ID into the matching field

  4. Click Save

Tracking applies to your live page as soon as you save. There is nothing to publish separately, and pixels are available on every plan.

You can paste the whole install snippet. If you copy the full block of code from Meta, TikTok or Google rather than just the ID, hoo.be pulls the ID out of it for you. Only the ID is stored.

Where to find each ID

Facebook Pixel ID
A 15 to 16 digit number. Find it in Meta Events Manager.
TikTok Pixel ID
A 20-character code of capital letters and digits. Find it in TikTok Events Manager.
Google Analytics ID
The Measurement ID, which starts with G-. Find it in Google Analytics under Admin, then Data streams.
Amazon Affiliate Tag
Your Amazon Associates tracking ID, usually ending in -20. Find it in your Associates account under your profile menu.

If an ID is not in the format the platform uses, hoo.be tells you what it expects rather than saving something that will not work.

The Amazon tag works differently

The other three fields are tracking pixels. The Amazon Affiliate Tag is not. It is your Associates tag, and it is added to the checkout link your Shop tab cart creates so a basket of your products is attributed to you.

That means two things worth knowing:

  • It only does something if you are using the Shop tab. If you are not, the field has no effect.

  • It does not change the individual Amazon links on your page. Those keep whichever tag is already in the URL you added, so keep your tag in those links too.

Updating or removing

  • To change an ID, replace what is in the field and save

  • To stop tracking, clear the field and save

Each field saves independently, so changing one does not affect the others. Changes are live immediately.

Common questions

Do I need a paid plan?

No. All four fields are available on every plan.

My ID will not save.

The format is being rejected. A Facebook ID is 15 to 16 digits, a TikTok ID is 20 characters of capital letters and digits, and a Google Analytics ID starts with G-. Check you have copied the ID and not the account or container number, which look similar but are different.

Can I add more than one pixel?

Yes. Fill in as many of the four as you like and they all run together.

Do pixels track my direct links too?

No. A pixel fires when someone loads your page. A direct link sends the visitor straight to the destination without your page loading, so there is nothing for the pixel to fire on. Use your page link in campaigns you want to retarget from.

Where do I see the data?

In the platform itself, not in hoo.be. Your pixel data appears in Meta Events Manager, TikTok Events Manager or Google Analytics. hoo.be analytics stay separate and cover views and clicks on your page.

๐Ÿ“ข Tip: Add your pixel before you start a campaign, not after. A pixel only records traffic that arrives once it is live, so anything earlier is not backfilled.
