How to Choose a Subscription Plan

hoo.be has three plans. Every plan includes a page, unlimited links and a tip jar. What changes is how much you can customise, how far back your analytics go, how many profiles you get, and how much of each tip you keep.

Paid plans are cheaper billed yearly, and there is currently a $1 first month on monthly. The pricing page is always the live version.

Which one fits

• Free if you want a clean link in bio and are not running campaigns off it yet.

• Pro if you want to see where your traffic comes from, drop the hoo.be branding, change your handle, or use redirect links for launches.

• Premium if you need more than one profile, a custom domain, or you are taking enough tips that the seller fee matters more than the subscription.

The seller fee is part of the price

Every plan can take tips, and the platform fee on each one depends on your plan:

If tips are a real part of your income, a paid plan can pay for itself. Moving from Free to Pro keeps an extra 4% of every tip, and Premium keeps the full 9% that Free gives up. On monthly pricing Pro covers its own cost at about $250 of tips a month, and on yearly at about $125.

To work out whether it is worth it, take your tip total for the last 30 days from Audience › Tips, multiply by the percentage you would save, and compare that against the plan price. If the saving is larger, the plan costs you nothing.

Stripe's own processing fee of 2.9% plus 30 cents applies on every plan and is separate from this.

A few things worth knowing

• Yearly is about half price. Pro is $59.99 a year against $119.88 billed monthly, and Premium is $179.99 against $359.88. That is roughly six months free either way.

• Profiles are not pages. Free and Pro both include one hoo.be profile. Premium is the only plan with up to five.

• Draft pages differ. Free allows up to two drafts, Pro and Premium are unlimited.

• Analytics depth differs. Free covers 7 and 30 day ranges. Pro and Premium add 90 days, all time, custom ranges, and the traffic source, device and location breakdowns.

Common questions

Do I lose anything by downgrading?

Features above your new plan stop working. A custom domain stops resolving, the hoo.be branding comes back, and handle changes are no longer available. Your pages, links and analytics history stay.

Is there an intro offer?

Offers change. Whatever is running shows on the pricing page and on the upgrade screen, with the exact amount you will be charged before you confirm. An intro price applies when you first subscribe, not when you switch between paid plans.

Can I pay yearly and switch to monthly later?

Yes, from the same screen. The change is prorated against what you have already paid.

What counts as a profile?

A profile is one hoo.be handle and the pages under it. Premium allows up to five, which suits someone running separate brands.

Does the free plan expire?

No. Free has no time limit.
