How to Enable Payments

Connect Stripe to take tips from your hoo.be page. Stripe handles the card details and the identity checks, and your earnings are paid out to your bank.
Set up payouts
Log in and click Account in the sidebar
Select Payments
Click Set up payouts
Follow the Stripe prompts, either with an existing Stripe account or a new one
If Stripe still needs something, the card reads Finish verifying your details with Stripe. Tips cannot be paid out until that is done, so it is worth finishing in one sitting.
Add a Tips block to your page
Open your page in the editor
Click Add Content
Choose Tips
Set your title, suggested amounts and button style
Save
Tips are available on every plan. What changes by plan is the fee.
What you keep
Two fees come out of a tip: Stripe's card processing fee, and the hoo.be platform fee, which depends on your plan.
Stripe's processing fee is 2.9% plus 30 cents per tip on every plan. That one goes to Stripe, not to hoo.be.
So on a $10 tip from a creator on the free plan, Stripe takes 59 cents and hoo.be takes 90 cents.
Your balance
Account › Payments shows two numbers.
Available for payout. Cleared and ready to request.
Pending payout. Tips that are still within the 30 day window, or sitting with Stripe pending review.
Requesting a payout
When you have an available balance, press Request payout. Every request is reviewed before the money moves, and reviews usually finish within a few business days. You will see the status change in your payout history from Requested to Paid.

These exist to keep the payment rail safe for everyone using it. If a request is waiting, nothing is lost, it simply moves once it clears.
Common questions
Why can I not request a payout yet?
Usually one of the windows above has not passed, most often the 30 days on the tip itself or the 7 days on a newly added bank account. The Payments screen tells you which state you are in.
Why does it say held with Stripe pending review?
Your funds sit with Stripe until the review completes. That is the same message whether a tip is inside its 30 day window or the account is being checked, so there is nothing to read into it.
Do I need a paid plan to take tips?
No. Tips work on every plan. Pro lowers the platform fee to 5%, and Premium and VIP remove it.
Where do I see individual tips?
Under Audience › Tips for earnings and counts, and in the transactions table on the Payments screen for the line by line detail.
Can I change my bank details?
Yes, through Stripe. Remember the new method needs 7 days before it can receive a payout, so change it well before you plan to cash out.
Do tips count toward my analytics?
Tip amounts and counts live under Audience, not in page analytics. Page analytics cover views and clicks.
📢 Tip: Set up payouts when you add the Tips block, not when you want the money. The 14 day account age and 7 day method age both run from setup, so doing it early means your first payout is not waiting on them.
