How to Add a Bio Description

2 min read ยท Updated

Your bio is the line of text under your name. It is the one chance to tell a visitor who you are before they decide which link to tap.

Add or edit your bio

  1. Log in, open My Pages and click the page you want to edit

  2. Click your profile image to open Edit Profile

  3. Select the Bio tab

  4. Type your bio

  5. Save

How it looks

On the same tab you can set:

  • Size. Small, Medium or Large.

  • Alignment. Left, Center or Right.

  • Colour. Pick one, or paste a hex code. This needs Pro or Premium.

Those same controls also live under Customize › Advanced › Header if you are already working there.

Writing one that works

  • Say what you do, not what you are. "I review budget skincare" beats "creator and storyteller".

  • Keep it to one line on a phone. Long bios push your links below the fold, and the links are what you want tapped.

  • Point at the thing you want clicked. If one link matters most this week, your bio is a good place to say so.

  • Leave the links to the blocks. A URL typed into your bio is not clickable.

Common questions

Can I use line breaks?

Yes, though a bio that runs several lines pushes your links further down on a phone.

Can I use emoji?

Yes. One or two read well. A line of them is harder to read than it looks on your own screen.

Why can I not change the colour?

Bio colour needs Pro or Premium. The text itself can be edited on any plan.

Is my bio searchable?

Your page is public, so search engines can index it. Writing what you actually do helps more than keyword stuffing.

📢 Tip: Read your bio on a phone before you settle. What looks like one neat line on a laptop often wraps to three.
