How to Remove a Link from Your Page

Removing a link from your page does not delete it, it will still exist in your My Links library and can be re-added to any page at any time.

First, log in at hoo.be/login, then go to My Pages and open the page you want to edit.

On desktop (computer with a mouse or trackpad)

  1. Move your cursor over the link block you want to remove

  2. Click the trash icon in the top-left corner of the block

  3. The link is removed from your page and remains saved in My Links

If the trash icon does not appear, move your cursor off the block and hover over it again. If you clicked inside the block (for example, on a carousel item), click an empty area outside the block first, then hover again.

Hover a block on desktop, or tap it once on a phone. Delete sits left, the drag handle centre, edit right.

On mobile (phone or tablet)

  1. Tap the link block once to select it, you should see a colored outline around the block and edit controls appear

  2. Tap the trash icon in the top-left corner of the block

  3. The link is removed from your page and remains saved in My Links

On mobile, controls do not appear when you hover, you must tap the block first. Tap the block again to deselect it if you selected the wrong one.

Paste a URL in the search field to add it. Collections are pills, and the three dots hold Edit, Add to collection and Delete.

Deleting takes the link out of your library. It is not the same as removing it from a page, and it is the only delete there is: there is no Archived tab to recover it from.

Before you delete: Remove the link from every page where it appears, using the trash icon above. A link that is still on a page cannot be deleted, and you will be sent to Pages to take it off first.

Steps:

  1. Open My Links from the sidebar (on mobile, open the menu first if the sidebar is hidden)

  2. Tap or click the ... (three dots) next to the link

  3. Select Delete

  4. Confirm in the dialog

Paste the same URL into the search field in My Links and add it again. The link comes back, and so do its clicks, because a link is identified by its URL.

Its direct link slug is the one thing to check. If you had set a custom ending, set it again after you re-add it.

Important Considerations

  • Removing from your page. The link is not deleted, just removed from that page

  • Deleting. Takes the link out of your library entirely. There is no Archived tab and no Restore.

  • Order matters. Remove the link from every page first, then delete it from My Links.

  • Getting it back. Add the same URL again in My Links. Check your direct link slug afterwards.
