How Much Does a Link in Bio Tool Cost? (2026 Pricing Comparison)
In this article

A link in bio tool costs $0 to start on most platforms. Linktree, Beacons, Lnk.Bio and hoo.be all have free plans. Paid plans for individual creators run from under $1 a month to about $35 a month for top creator tiers, with business plans going higher. The first paid plan on the best-known tools costs $6 to $15 a month.

The sticker price is only half the bill, though. Many tools take a cut of what you sell through your page, and that fee can cost more than the subscription. A free plan with a 12% fee on digital sales is not free once you start selling.

This guide compares the current 2026 prices of the most popular link in bio tools, using each company's own pricing page, and shows you how to work out what you would really pay based on how you earn.

Key takeaways

  • Most link in bio tools have a free plan. Paid creator plans on the best-known tools run about $6 to $35 a month, less if you pay yearly.
  • Linktree raised prices in November 2025. Pro went from $9 to $15 a month on monthly billing.
  • Seller fees matter more than the subscription once you sell. Fees on free plans run from 9% to 12% on the tools that charge them, plus card processing.
  • If you sell more than about $220 a month, a plan with a 0% seller fee usually pays for itself.
  • Annual billing saves 17% to 25% on most tools. Only commit once you know which features you use.

Here is the short version. Prices below are in US dollars, taken from each tool's official pricing or help page in October 2026.

Prices cluster into three tiers. A free tier covers unlimited links and basic design. An entry paid tier (roughly $6 to $10 a month) adds analytics, scheduling and fewer limits. A top creator tier (roughly $25 to $35 a month) removes seller fees and adds commerce, email and automation tools. A few tools skip subscriptions altogether and charge once or yearly.

Prices in USD from each company's pricing or help page, October 2026. Card processing (for example Stripe's 2.9% + 30¢ on US cards) is charged on top of any seller fee. Linktree shows prices in local currency, so yours may differ outside the US.

Linktree

Linktree has four individual plans. Free gives you unlimited links and email and phone sign-ups. Starter ($8 a month, or $6 billed yearly) adds unlimited featured links, link scheduling, redirects and 90 days of analytics history. Pro ($15, or $12 yearly) removes the Linktree logo and adds custom designs, SEO settings and mailing list integrations. Premium ($35, or $30 yearly) adds link rules, all-time analytics, data export and a 0% fee on digital products and courses.

These prices are new. Linktree raised its monthly prices on November 13, 2025: Starter went from $5 to $8, Pro from $9 to $15 and Premium from $24 to $35. Many older reviews still quote the 2024 prices.

Beacons

Beacons bundles a link in bio with a media kit, store, email marketing and AI tools. Free includes unlimited digital products and 50 email sends a month, with a 9% seller fee. Creator ($10, or $8.33 yearly) adds a free custom domain and 500 email sends but keeps the 9% fee. Creator Plus ($30, or $25 yearly) drops the fee to 0% and adds unlimited email sends, memberships and course video hosting. Creator Max ($100, or about $83 yearly) adds white-glove onboarding and priority support.

Stan

Stan is a storefront first and a link in bio second. There is no free plan. Creator costs $29 a month ($300 a year) and covers the store, booking calendar, courses, memberships and Instagram auto-DMs. Creator Pro costs $99 a month ($948 a year) and adds discount codes, payment plans, upsells, funnels, affiliate management, email marketing and ad pixels. Stan charges 0% transaction fees on both plans; you pay only card processing.

Lnk.Bio

Lnk.Bio is the budget pick and the only major tool with lifetime pricing. The free plan has unlimited links. Mini costs $0.99 a month or $9.99 once and adds link scheduling, click and view analytics with two years of history, and tracking pixels. Unique costs $24.99 once and removes the Lnk.Bio logo and adds custom colors and a built-in shop. Lnk.Bio says these prices have not changed since 2016.

Later and Carrd

Two tools often appear in comparisons but work differently. Later is a social media scheduler that includes a link in bio page on every plan; its Starter plan is $18.75 a month billed yearly, with a 14-day free trial and no free plan. Carrd is a one-page website builder that many creators use as a link page. Its Pro plans are billed yearly: Pro Lite is $9 a year, and Pro Standard at $19 a year adds custom domains and forms.

What do you get on a free plan?

More than you might expect. On most tools the free plan is enough to run a working link page for months. Typical inclusions:

  • Unlimited links on Linktree, Beacons and Lnk.Bio.
  • Email or contact collection, such as Linktree's email and phone sign-ups and Beacons' 50 email sends a month.
  • Basic analytics, usually with a short history. Linktree's Free plan shows the last 28 days. hoo.be's Free plan shows 7- and 30-day views.
  • Selling, with a fee. Free plans that let you sell usually take a cut: 12% on Linktree digital products, 9% on Beacons and 9% on hoo.be tips.

What free plans usually leave out: removing the platform's branding, custom domains, longer analytics history, and the lowest seller fees. If you want a deeper look at what each free plan includes, see our roundup of the best free link in bio tools.

Pro tip

Start free and stay free until a specific missing feature costs you something you can name: a brand asking for your own domain, sales big enough that the fee hurts, or a launch you need to schedule. Upgrading "just in case" is how a $15 tool becomes a $180 yearly habit.

How much do seller fees really cost you?

Seller fees are where link in bio pricing gets misleading. A free plan with a percentage fee is cheap when you sell little and expensive when you sell a lot. Run the numbers before you pick a plan.

Take a creator who sells $500 a month of digital products. Here is what the platform keeps each month, before card processing:

Monthly platform cost on $500 of digital sales

Linktree Free (12% fee)$60
Beacons Creator ($10 + 9%)$55
Beacons Free (9% fee)$45
Linktree Premium ($35, 0%)$35
Beacons Creator Plus ($30, 0%)$30
Stan Creator ($29, 0%)$29
Our calculation using monthly-billing prices and seller fees from the Linktree, Beacons and Stan pricing pages. Card processing excluded.

At $500 a month, the "free" plan is the most expensive option on the chart. The break-even point is lower than most creators think. On Beacons, Creator Plus costs $20 a month more than Creator but removes a 9% fee, so it pays for itself once you sell about $222 a month ($20 divided by 9%). Linktree's Premium costs $20 more than Pro on monthly billing, so the same math applies if Pro's fee on your product type is 9%.

Do not forget card processing

Payment processing is charged on top of any platform fee, on every plan. Stripe's standard US rate is 2.9% + 30¢ per successful card payment, plus 1.5% for international cards and 1% if currency conversion is needed. Stan's help center lists the same Stripe rate and 3.49% plus a fixed fee for PayPal. Linktree also charges a $0.25 fee per payout on commissioned shop links. On a $10 product, the 30¢ fixed fee alone is 3% of the sale, which is why very cheap products lose more to fees than you expect.

Tips are a sale too

If you take tips, check the fee on those as well. On hoo.be, tips can be $1 to $500 each, paid through Stripe, with a platform fee of 9% on Free, 5% on Pro and 0% on Premium. Stripe's 2.9% + $0.30 applies separately.

Is annual billing worth it?

Usually yes, once you know you will keep the tool. The savings are real:

  • Linktree: $6 instead of $8 for Starter, $12 instead of $15 for Pro, $30 instead of $35 for Premium. That is 14% to 25% off.
  • Beacons: annual billing gives you two months free, about 17% off.
  • Later: advertises 25% off (three months free) on yearly plans.
  • Stan: $300 a year for Creator instead of $348 on monthly billing.

The catch is commitment. If you are still testing tools, or your income from the page is not steady yet, pay monthly for the first two or three months. Moving tools later is easy, but check the provider's refund terms before you prepay a year.

Which features push you onto a paid plan?

Across every tool in this guide, the same five features sit behind the paywall. Decide which of them you actually need.

FeatureWhy it costs extraWho really needs it
Removing brandingThe free logo is the tool's advertisingCreators pitching brands who want a clean, professional page
Custom domainHosting your own URL takes setup and supportAnyone building a brand beyond one platform
Longer analyticsStoring history costs moneyCreators reporting results to sponsors
Lower seller feesFees are a main revenue source for these toolsAnyone selling more than about $200 a month
Scheduling and automationSaves you time, so it is priced as a premiumCreators running launches, drops and brand campaigns

Custom domains are the feature with the widest price spread. Beacons includes a free custom domain on its $10 Creator plan, Carrd supports custom domains from $19 a year, while other tools reserve them for their top tier. Our guide to link in bio features worth paying for covers each one in more depth.

Use this five-step check. It takes about ten minutes and stops you overpaying.

  1. Write down how your page earns. Affiliate links, digital products, tips, bookings, brand deals or none yet. This decides whether seller fees matter to you.
  2. Estimate monthly sales through the page. If it is under about $200, a free or entry plan with a fee is usually cheaper. Above that, compare 0% fee plans.
  3. List the must-have features. Branding removal, custom domain, analytics history, email capture, scheduling. Cross off anything you would not use this month.
  4. Price the full year. Subscription times 12, plus seller fees on your expected sales, plus card processing. Compare that total, not the headline price.
  5. Test on monthly billing first. Switch to yearly once the tool has earned its place, and check your link clicks with a monthly link in bio audit.

Watch for price changes

Link in bio pricing changes often. Linktree's 2025 increase raised every paid plan by 46% to 67%. Prices also vary by country on some tools. Always confirm on the official pricing page before you pay, and recheck your plan once a year.

Frequently asked questions

How much does a link in bio tool cost?

Most major link in bio tools have a free plan, and the rest offer a free trial. Paid creator plans in 2026 cost about $6 to $35 a month, depending on the tool and billing period. Linktree is $8, $15 or $35 a month on monthly billing, Beacons is $10, $30 or $100, and Stan is $29 or $99. Lnk.Bio sells a one-time $24.99 plan.

Is there a link in bio tool that is completely free?

Yes. Linktree, Beacons, Lnk.Bio and hoo.be all have free plans, and Linktree, Beacons and Lnk.Bio include unlimited links on theirs. The trade-off is platform branding, shorter analytics history and, on tools that let you sell, a percentage fee on sales or tips.

How much is Linktree Pro in 2026?

Linktree Pro costs $15 a month on monthly billing or $12 a month billed yearly in the US. Linktree raised Pro from $9 a month on November 13, 2025. Prices are shown in local currency, so they differ by country.

Do link in bio tools take a cut of sales?

Many do on lower plans. Linktree lists a 12% fee on digital products and courses on its Free plan, falling to 0% on Premium. Beacons charges 9% on Free and Creator and 0% on Creator Plus. Stan charges 0% on both plans. Card processing, such as Stripe's 2.9% + 30¢ in the US, is charged on top.

When is it worth paying for a 0% fee plan?

When the fee you save is bigger than the price difference. On Beacons, Creator Plus costs $20 a month more than Creator and removes a 9% fee, so it pays for itself at about $222 of monthly sales. Below that, the cheaper plan with the fee usually costs less.

Which link in bio tool is cheapest for a custom domain?

Carrd's Pro Standard plan supports custom domains for $19 a year, and Beacons includes a free custom domain on its Creator plan at $10 a month. Other tools, including hoo.be, offer custom domains on their top plan. You usually pay for the domain name itself separately.

Is annual billing cheaper for link in bio tools?

Yes. Linktree's yearly prices are 14% to 25% lower than monthly, Beacons gives two months free, and Later advertises 25% off. Pay monthly while you test a tool, then switch to yearly once you know you will keep it.
